Amanda is the heart and soul of Royal City Asset Management. With over a decade of experience in the financial industry, Amanda is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional, mutual funds representative and a licensed life insurance agent. She is a proud member of the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners and The Financial Planning Association of Canada.

You could say it all began as a leap of faith: Amanda leveraged her decade of experience running a successful millwright business with her husband and accepted a position as a financial advisor assistant role in 2013. Growing up, she was exposed to the world of personal finance, but never realized just how accessible financial planning could be until she entered into the industry—and it was this revelation that ignited her career. She joined the team at RCAM in 2020 and took over as owner and financial advisor when Mary Mitchell retired in 2022.

Amanda is passionate about breaking down seemingly impossible dreams into achievable goals and making financial jargon understandable through relatable analogies and stories. She prides herself on cultivating a sense of empowerment, education, and partnership with her clients, rather than just dictating solutions. Royal City Asset Management’s approach extends to understanding the client’s life story and aligning recommendations with their goals.

When not in front of clients, Amanda is behind the wheel, ATV riding, camping, and hosting outdoor bonfires with her husband. She enjoys cooking and sharing meals, cherishes time with her young adult children, and relishes watching them embark on their own careers—with a strong financial footing, of course.

Aga Svitek

Executive Administrative Assistant

Aga brings a special skillset to our team. She holds a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics, with a primary emphasis on Educational Science and Psychology. She began as a language teacher and then transitioned to an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager position in a translation company, where she accumulated six years of client service experience.

For Aga, it is all about making people’s lives easier. By helping individuals take charge of their finances, she believes she can enhance their quality of life and overall happiness. Aga is our go-to when it comes to attention to detail, computer wizardry, and unparalleled people skills—not to mention fluency in multiple languages.

She has an unrelenting desire to continually grow and improve, and that is what makes her the person she is today—and for how she shows up for every one of our clients. Outside the office, Aga takes off to hike and camp. Her artistic side comes alive as she creates and enjoys art, but she is equally comfortable in the kitchen or nurturing her green thumb.
